Registration is now closed.  We have hit the 280 Team mark.  Those in the 250 to 280 range will be notified. 

 

The Tournament will be starting Thursday, March 27, 2025 to Sunday, March 30, 2025.  Please ensure you complete the registration form with your actual players and jersey numbers.  Also you must hit the SUBMIT Tean Registration button to complete the first stage of the registration process.

 
On the Team Registration page you are asked to complete the team registration form including team name and level; listing of coaches and trainer; team contact information plus your team roster list. When completed please hit submit at the bottom of the page.
 
Your team contact will receive an email as follows indicating that your team has been added to the Registration Pending list. As follows:

1. E transfer made payable to the SEDMHA Tournament in the amount of $1325.00 CDN for U11 to U18 teams.Please pay within 10 days. Please see detailled instructions below.

2. An officially approved copy of your team registration form obtained both from your provincial / state Minor Hockey governing body

PAYMENT REFUNDS
 
Teams may withdraw for any reason up to and including February 15, 2025 and full refunds will be given. After that time our ice bookings are committed and no refund will be given should you cancel your registration.  Any team competing in a Provincial or Atlantic championship during the period of the tournament is eligible for a full refund. 
 
 

TEAM ROSTERS & TRAVEL PERMITS

A copy of your signed "officially registered Team Roster approved by your Provincial (State)Minor Hockey body” must be submitted by January 1st.. The tournament also requires a copy of your approved Travel Permit.
Once your payment is received and cleared the registrar will confirm your registration and assign your team a tournament number. You will then receive an Acceptance email with a User name and Password. This confirmation email is sent to the team contact email address.

We are pleased to advise you that your team has been approved for the 2025 Honda SEDMHA Minor Hockey Tournament. The team number indicated above has been assigned to your team. Please reference this number in any future correspondence with the tournament.

Your team has been tentatively placed into the Division as indicated above as per your application. Final categorization will occur in February 2025. Final placement will be based on statistics (win/loss/tie record) at that time and provincial or state competitive balance. Schedules will not be finalized until mid to late March and will be available to you online at that time.

You are able to update your team list at any time up to March 23, 2025 using the user name and password listed above to "login". This team list will be used to sanction players for tournament play and in the tournament program. Please be aware that any additions (affiliates) or changes (registered members) to your team lists must be sanctioned by your provincial or state Minor Hockey body and must meet the tournament rules.

Please be aware that for travel purposes all teams will play their first game on Thursday, March 27, 2025 any time after 12 noon and that final championship games on Sunday are scheduled to begin as late as 5pm on March 30, 2025..

If you have not already done so we need a copy of your officially approved team registration form including your team registration from your provincial / state Minor Hockey governing body and a valid travel permit.

The Tournament Registration form will constitute the OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT TEAM ROSTER and cannot be changed without the consent of the Tournament Registrar.
 

ELIGIBILITY

 
Affiliated Players to a maximum of three are allowed. Affiliates are to replace players not coming to the tournament, not to bolster rosters. ie: If a team has 15 registered players all year they may only play with up to 15 players in the tournament.
 
Any player name that appears on the tournament registration form but does not appear on the Provincial / State registration forms must have proof of birth date, association affiliation, and normal playing level. 
 
Players not listed on the Tournament Registration form may not participate.  Registered players can play on one team only. 
 
A player/coach/team official may participate with one team only.
 
 

TEAM CLASSIFICATION

Every attempt is made to ensure that your team will be slotted into the proper competitive level. 
AAA teams are the top teams in each level, 
AA teams are the second best teams, 
A teams are third best in a level and 
B teams represent the lower skill level competitive teams. 
C teams are teams classed as Recreational or House League teams
 
These classifications are based on the Nova Scotia rating system which may vary from your Province / State.

 

CATEGORIZATION

 Final team placement or categorization will be done by the Tournament Committee and will be based on your team location, plus league and exhibition games played prior to February 2025. To assist us in this classification process, we request that you provide as much information as possible on your league standing or exhibition games.
 
Final team placement is at the discretion of the tournament committee.
 
 

AWARDS

Please note the tournament provides a maximum of twenty (20) awards (medals, jackets, etc.) per winning team which includes all players and coaching staff.

GAME COST 
There is no Entrance fee charged for anyone. This is a free event.
 
ACCOMMODATIONS
The Tournament normally books in excess of 1200 rooms at local area hotels for use by parents and players. We have a complete listing of hotels and motels in HRM. Those that are offering reduced rates are hockey friendly. The rates at these hotels are discounted and thus better than what teams can get directly. All booking is arranged by our Accommodations Registrar. We ask that teams support the hotels that support the tournament.

TRANSPORTATION 
Team transportation while at the tournament is the team’s responsibility.

Once you have registered, check the website regularly for updated information.
Schedules will be available on the site commencing mid March 2025. After the middle of March you should check daily since the last two weeks before the tournament tend to be like the stock market "Volatile".
