The annual SEDMHA Honda Female Minor Hockey Tournament is a premier fall event for female minor hockey teams. Held in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the tournament offers a great opportunity to launch your season with exciting competition and high-quality facilities.

Games could start Thursday, run throughout Friday and Saturday, with championship games on Sunday.

International Teams Welcome
Teams from outside North America are encouraged to apply! We’ll work with your Hockey Federation to issue an official tournament invitation and help secure all required permits.

General Information
Player Ages
All player ages are determined as of December 31, 2025. Please note that all divisions follow Nova Scotia hockey standards, which may differ from those in your province or state.
Team Eligibility
All participating teams must be registered female minor hockey teams. Final team placement in divisions will be determined at the discretion of the tournament committee.
Registration
Registration will open at noon on October 4, 2025, and will close when 52 teams have been confirmed. Payment will be due within 5 days of receiving the acceptance email. Deadline for a team to withdraw with full refund is October 18, 2025.

Tournament Format
Our tournament is a bracket format which features a unique draw system that accommodates divisions with an odd number of teams and allows for balanced competition based on skill level.
Game Guarantee
All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
Game Length
- All games consist of three 15-minute stop-time periods.
- Ice is flooded every 2 periods, after either the first or second period – So be aware there may not be a flood at the beginning of your game.
- Championship Finals will have a flood after the second period
TEAMS MUST BE READY TO PLAY UP TO 20 MINUTES EARLY.
Entry Fee
The all-inclusive entry fee is $1300 per team. This fee covers team registration and free admission for all parents, fans, and spectators—no additional charges at the door.

Team Transportation
All transportation during the tournament is the responsibility of each individual team.

- Please check frequently in the final two weeks leading up to the event, as changes may occur – things can get “stock market volatile” close to game time!
